Meet CTRC's Therapy Horses

CTRC maintains a herd of 25+ magnificent “equine therapists”. Both the tangible and intangible gifts our horses give - to our participants, volunteers and staff - are innumerable and priceless. Each member of our herd is a treasure in a way that is unique to them; each, absolutely, has their own tale to tell. Our horses’ willingness and unlimited hearts have captured the hearts of all of us who know them. We believe that if you were to meet our horses and learn their stories, they would capture your heart as well.

CTRC's Featured Horse:
SKY

CTRC lost a wonderful member of our herd - Sky. Donated by one of our volunteers here at the center, Sky quickly became a favorite mount of adults and children alike. She was noted for her distinct "paint horse" markings as well as a gentle and marvelous jog/trot. Flowers grace her stall and there will be a bit of sadness in the air at the center for some time to come. Sky made a wonderful therpay horse and will be missed by all who handled her, rode her, and had the pleasure to work with her. Sky now plays in the very pastures that are her namesake...a heavenly reward to be sure...
