Camp 1: Round Up
June 9 - 19, 2008 Ages: 6 -12 Session fee: $550.00 We’ve rounded up all the skills you need to know to be an excellent rider and horseperson and put them into this two-week camp. Both new and returning campers will have a chance to learn new things and improve their riding. Campers ride the same horse each day and learn what kind of care their horse needs on a daily basis. Participants take part in hands-on experiential activities that help them have fun and gain confidence while working with horses and being part of a group. We will observe horse behavior, discuss colors and breeds and learn the names of the equipment we use to ride. Activities may also include painting horses, bathing, braiding manes and tails, and roping.
