Classic Riding

Classic riding is a structured group class offered for a fee to active volunteers and Parents/Caregivers of CTRC Riders only. Classic riding is an opportunity to learn to ride or build upon existing skills. We offer three levels of Classic Riding.

Greenbroke:	For riders who have little to none riding and horse handling experience.
Back in the Saddle:	For riders who are fairly experienced in either English or Western at the walk, trot and canter, but who may be a little rusty in the saddle.
Giddy Up:	For riders who are competent in either English or Western at all gaits and display high level equitation skills such as pattern work, diagonals and leads.

The lesson is an hour long once a week with a 30 minute tack up period prior to the class to learn/develop grooming and tacking skills. Classic Riding is offered only in our Fall, Winter and Spring sessions and classes are limited to 5 riders.

The Classic Riding registration form is available for each offered session during open registration at CTRC and online.
